Spring arrives..

Being tough in my tough car.

Ebino cherry blossoms.

Heading towards Kumamoto castle.

Kumamoto castle.

Kumamoto castle at night taken from the hostel we were staying at.

Em's favourite cherry blossom pic.

Kaito kun.

Kaito with mum, Kao.  This is where Em first went WWOOFing.

Lach and Kansai Gaidai mate Yuki Maya proving that Ebino isn't just home to a big ugle coke factory!

Em's parents Paul and Jenny also came to visit us in April.  This is them taking in the sites at lake Miike, Takachiho in the background.

Purification at Kirishima shrine.

Jenny with a late blooming cherry blossom.

The Ebino international center was good enough to put on a BBQ for the visiting foreigners.

These fish can be seen everywhere in Japan during April.  They are part of a festival for young boys so they don't feel left out after hina matsuri earlier in the year which is for the girls.

We got lucky with the weather and after a serious stint in the gift shop we went for a great walk around Ebino plateau.

Karakuni dake looking as awesome as ever.

Some deer foraging for food late in the afternoon.

Heading to Sakurajima on the car ferry with Sonia.

Jenny relaxing with the local rice providing diety.

Lach and Em jamming with the Takeuchis in preparation for our first gig with them.

Lach and the man himself, Takeuchi sensei, shamisen master and shredder.
